Foundation Transition

To discover why Gladstone Views Primary School is the right choice for your child, we encourage you to take a ‘virtual’ tour of our well-resourced learning spaces and extensive grounds.

Unfortunately, at present, due to COVID-19 restrictions we are unable to operate school tours and have therefore postponed all tours until later in the year. STAY TUNED!

You can still enrol your child/children into our school by completing the enrolment form online and emailing it to – or alternatively posting it to – Gladstone Views Primary School, 217 Carrick Drive, Gladstone Park, 3043.

If you have any questions that you need to discuss with the Principal, Belinda Karlsson or our Foundation Transition Coordinator, Nicole Jovic you can email the school on and request a phone meeting.

Moving from Kindergarten/Pre-School to Primary School can be an exciting but challenging time in your child’s life. At Gladstone Views Primary School, we know the importance of ensuring that your child experiences an enjoyable and happy transition and we will again offer an extensive transition program during Term 4, for students attending in 2021.

Our Transition to School program will consist of three sessions. More information on the days and dates will follow. You can register your child in the Transition program by contacting the school office on 93386083.

The activities in the transition program will focus on familiarising your child with the school environment in a friendly, stress-free way.

These activities have been designed to:

  • encourage socialisation
  • develop confidence
  • experience some of the opportunities that our school offers
  • meet the Foundation teachers and students they will work with in 2021
  • develop fine and gross motor skills
  • explore a variety of equipment and resources

Please note that in Term 4, the Junior Block will be under construction due to an upgrade.

The classroom location for these transition sessions will be in the Art Room. During the transition sessions, parents/carers are not required to stay with their child in the classroom during these transition sessions.

Parents will be provided with more information regarding our Transition Program at the start of Term 4, 2020.  We hope to see you in Term 4.
